Sia Set to Release Christmas Album for 2017
Australian singer Sia Furler will transfer from Sony records, signing a deal with Atlantic Records, a subsidiary of Warner Music. Sia is scheduled to release a Christmas album before the year ends under her new label, Monkey Puzzle.
The move was made by Crush Management, who is creating a partnership with Warner Music.
According to Atlantic Records CEO Craig Callman and Chairman/COO Julie Greenwald, “Sia is a once in a generation artist. Her extraordinary gifts as a singer and songwriter, her revolutionary approach to the art of performing, her ground breaking videos and everything she does comes from a deep wellspring of inspiration and imagination.”
The singer’s upcoming album is being written and recorded with Greg Kurstin.
Sia started her career as a singer-songwriter in the local Adelaide acid Jazz band Crisp in the mid-90’s. Her most famous songs include “The Greatest,” “Cheap Trills,” “Alive,” and “Chandelier.”
