Arcade Fire’s “Everything Now” Tops Billboard 200 Albums Chart
Everything Now claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts. The album was released through Sonovox Records (physical) and Columbia Records (digital) as of July 20.
It earned 100,000 equivalent album units in the first week of August, according to Nielsen Music. The album was produced by Arcade Fire alongside Thomas Bangalter.
The Billboard Chart 200 Album Chart estimates its ranking by multi-metric consumption, which includes album sales, track equivalent albums, and streaming equivalent albums. An update will be posted on Billboard’s website by August 8.
Arcade Fire previously topped the Billboard 200 charts with Reflektor in 2013 and The Suburbs in 2010. Everything Now is Arcade Fire’s third number-one album.
Furthermore, Arcade Fire is now the second band with three number-one albums, following Linkin Park with six.
Everything Now‘s sales chart of 94,000 traditional album sales was aided by a concert ticket and album bundle sale promotion with the upcoming tour.
